The same industry donated $2 million to the Trump campaign.
Who’s surprised this hasn’t been identified by #DOGE as wasteful?
Certainly not me.
As of 2021, reports show 100+ Reps and 28 Senators had financial interests in the industry. ~19% of the House and ~28% of the Senate at that time. Notably, among these members, 74 Republicans, 59 Democrats, and 1 Independent.

In the most recent year on record, the U.S. govt provided ~$20 billion in direct subsidies to the fossil fuel industry, with about $16 billion allocated to oil and gas, and the remaining $4 billion benefiting the coal industry.

1. Biden = Bad for brand
2. Take a stand & be specific. “Good jobs” “Lower costs”?
3. Structure the doc in a way that people would read & understand. Bullets. Concise.
4. Address the argument against it head on.

The govt needs reform, and tearing down & starting fresh is easier than reform here & there, but will only be better if the ones building are informed by experts in that space. Elon & Trump are not experts nor bring in experts so it’ll inevitably be flawed.

DePaul University emails me for donations monthly at a minimum. Sure, I went to uni there. I [erm my parents] paid for it. Why would I then give them money? Who are these everyday people — not the ones giving millions to name the library after them — who send them cash? I just don’t understand!
