It’s finally time 😊

But yeah, I directly texted the person in particular about it earlier, and I think that’s a sign of personal growth for me.

Haven’t gotten a response. But at some point, that becomes a response in itself, doesn’t it.

It just sucks when it’s people you’ve been friends with for like literal decades and one day you’re just seemingly dropped? I get being busy, I get being stressed. But like, you make time. You just do. If you want to be a good friend, that’s a big part of it actually!

I mean, texting isn’t hard. I have anxiety and often get the sense I’m annoying everyone I talk to, and yet I can reach out! We live in the future! A text takes 5 seconds and no real effort!

But, turns out sometimes people would rather not make that effort.

“I have my answer,” she said, and I think she’s right. Like. I always think *I’m* the problem, but lately I’m realizing it’s not me, that I’m a good and possibly too-loyal friend, and that this is energy I should hold for the friends that actually like me.

There’s a few people in my life like this, and I brought this up with the best friend last night (she is not one of these people). She interrupted me to tell me that yeah, the problem really isn’t me, but also I really shouldn’t spend so much effort on people who don’t seem to want to talk to me.

Like I’m not someone who requires you to respond to me immediately, or even in a reasonable amount of time. We’re all busy, but like…how do you simply *never* text back? Like I’m talking NEVER EVER. Until they do, months later and without any sort of even trite apology.

So recently I’ve been upset because of certain friends who are (as usual) completely unresponsive to texts and never reach out. It had me depressed because I don’t have the mental energy to constantly be the only one maintaining a friendship. Also it’s not fair to me to have to do that!
