It's not surprising a cookie banner co. like this is considering adding an a11y overlay. They already have a JS snippet on the site; it totally makes sense from a business perspective: they know how many page views their customers get and can see 💰 in the multiplier. Who cares about the actual UX.

I watched Train Dreams today. One of the best movies I have seen. Beautiful cinematography, excellent pacing, impactful characters and acting in a story that really sits with you. It's almost poetic; a meditation on the meaning of life.

There's a free plan, though I pay for it.

I highly recommend Descript (as a typical user, I've never a11y tested it). It autogenerates and then you can correct mistakes. If you delete from the transcript, it deletes from the video too. Exports SRT files for captions, and you can export a transcript or copy it as Markdown to paste elsewhere.

Do you use a tool to create transcripts? We use Descript which labels speakers relatively easily and then when you export the SRT and transcript will include speaker labels. I found it to be an easy tool to use.

This is so true. If it can't be made accessible, then perhaps it shouldn't be made.

Same goes for WCAG in my book. There's never a good excuse to not adhere to accessibility guidelines.

If what you're trying to do is not technically possible to do accessible, you should probably reconsider what you're trying to do.
