I like a big, fun musical but there are far too many that push out shows like this that take risks and try to do something new that aren't seeking the biggest crowds and the biggest profits.

I cried the last thirty minutes of the show and was a little embarrassed until I saw countless individuals with puffy red faces leaving the theatre. It's a story about finding meaning in the wake of grief and loss and Menzel just kills it.

I just saw the new musical with Redwood with Idina Menzel and am so grateful this made it to Broadway. It is small, genuine, and emotionally packed. I doubt it will last long on Broadway because it's not a show you see to escape the world.
