and im someone in favor of tws/cws btw. but it gets muddy when you have triggers that are more mundane. or are things that aren't common. one of mine is a ship from a somewhat niche jrpg. i'd be insane to expect random ppl to trigger tag that ship just for *my* comfort

you can argue back and forth all day long abt cws/tws and when/where to use them but at the end of the day the only one capable of protecting your peace is YOU. if you see smth that triggers you it is your responsibility to regulate yourself, a random person on the internet can't do that for you

the internet (and world in general) would become so much better if people learned how to sit with their discomfort / being triggered rather than make it everyone else's problem
