These two were planning a new food cart for a pod on SE Flavel. They’d initially planned to do hot dogs, but pivoted to a spicy chicken cart. Jessi claimed her bbq would turn heads, but Jimmy’s preference was for fried. A chicken-off was proposed.

Orion was a chemistry student at Reed College. The tiny boxes in the vacuum-sealed glass container they’re holding each contain chondrite meteorites shot through with veins of proto-planetary matter - tiny time capsules from the birth of the known universe.

Grant’s story started this project. 99 years old in this photo and recently engaged to be married. He spent that whole summer taking lyfts four times a week from his house in Beaverton to his sweetie’s assisted living home to visit and sing to her.
