Truly evil. And as others have pointed out, this state-sanctioned torture is paired with surging attempts to criminalise just being trans and funnel them into prison. It’s a pipeline for genocide, and politicians running calculus that this isn’t worth fighting make me want to vomit.

Can I also offer a shout out to all those Green voters who would have been seriously worried about splitting the anti-far right vote in favour of the far right! That would've been a genuine fear. It takes nerve and courage to do that.

I wonder what it is about the Greens' message of community, progress, justice and care for our wounded planet that's connecting with people.
