20.08.2025 19:31 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0FFS? Amiga Fast File System? 🤔
20.08.2025 18:01 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Well, it looks like only the "drop it" part came came true.
20.08.2025 17:55 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0That's a beauty!!!
20.08.2025 16:33 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Oh, damn. That's too bad.
20.08.2025 15:39 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Yeah, that's probably the best solution. It will be nice for you to have LIPS back in action, even as a regular TV.
20.08.2025 14:06 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Thanks for the photo. Maybe the IC totally died. I see the NXP TDA19997HL/C1 HDMI SELECTOR IC selling on eBay for about $10 US. 🤷♂️
20.08.2025 13:50 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Curious, could you post a close-up photo of the chip, itself?
19.08.2025 17:06 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Oh, no. Not the LIPS -- legend! Have you seen this video (for troubleshooting, if nothing else), www.youtube.com/watch?v=_l5O....
19.08.2025 16:46 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Ugh. I have a radio on in the background at work, just to break the monotonous silence. That damn "song"is being played constantly. Every thime I hear that piano intro I know it's time to take a bio break.

Thanks. Yeah, I did a massive reorganization of my bench a couple of months ago. Way more elbow room now.

A big thanks to the Chilliwack Retro-Computing Club for inviting me to speak yesterday by live stream to attendees at the club's Retro Computing Expo in Vancouver, BC 🇨🇦. I had a great time and I hope everyone enjoyed my talk about growing up at the dawn of the personal computer.

03.06.2025 18:28 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0And then there's me... last week I ordered PCBs to make a diag264 cartridge, and then this past weekend I remembered I ordered these goodies from #TFW8b in April 2019. 🤦

23.05.2025 13:49 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Hey @theretrochannel.bsky.social, I've been re-watching your CoCo 2 s-video mod videos – I'm finally pulling my unfininished #SepTandy repair video out of mothballs – did you ever revisit your NTSC CoCo 2 RF modulator conversion? I think part of the issue with my repair case is a dodgy RF modulator.
23.05.2025 12:53 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Well, decided to take on the challenge to repair a friend's old Canon PowerShot G1. Jeez, it's like peeling an onion, a lot of layers and sooooo many tiny screws!
21.05.2025 14:16 — 👍 3 🔁 1 💬 0 📌 0Before your hands get cold... Coincidentally, I just upgraded my old-ish (and ellegedy non-hardware compliant) workbench PC from Win 10 to Win 11 using Flyby11 (github.com/builtbybel/F...). It worked a treat, and the computer runs smoother on Win 11. Just sayin'. 🤷♂️
21.05.2025 13:26 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Damn, you are coming up with a lot of great video mod creations these days. Nice work!
