Home - Healing starts when people bear witness Outcry Witness is the platform where survivors of sexual violence keep an anonymous record of their experience, always under their control.

🧡 1/ Excellent and impactful work from CCE second in command @loraadair.bsky.social published in the New Metro over the weekend about Outcry Witness

It’s an anonymous website where sexual-assault survivors can safely tell their stories.

A review of Capturing the Friedmans (2003) Abhorrent, irresponsible filmmaking.Β  I watched this almost 10 years ago (Christ), whilst studying a module called β€˜Truth, Reality, and the Documentary Film’ in my year of film studies before I switch...

I decided to revisit some of the documentaries I’ve studied in the past, and found renewed rage for β€˜Capturing the Friedmans’ (2003).

Not that exploitation in documentary filmmaking is a new shocking idea, but this one, for me, is particularly egregious.

Centre for Mental Health: Together against racism.

In the wake of the disturbing racist, Islamophobic and anti-migrant demonstrations and violence which took place on Saturday, we stand in solidarity with everyone affected. It’s just over a year since the racist riots of last summer, and racist aggression and hostility has been growing since.

Bit of a slow film week for me (I might have restarted a Fallout 4 campaign πŸ‘€) BUT this week I finally got to see β€˜Sorry, Baby’. It has shot straight to the top of my trauma representation in film list. It was real, messy, heartbreaking and funny (AND not fucking exploitative!! πŸ₯Ή) #LetterboxdFriday
