Worth noting that family care responsibilities and financial difficulties gap is disproportionately heavier for Indigenous students, and those who are the 1st in the family to attend university, and those with disabilities. Yeah 100%. I also can’t see what such a comment is trying to offer. People upload things online to… share them… with an audience that likes it? Okay?! But even the most shallow subgenres of literature have multilayered points of interest and critical voices living and playing within them, IMO.

Last time I checked, hurt/comfort was the genre that did the most numbers. Not just in fanfic too, underpins a lot of bestselling romance!

It’s a good thing that teachers and truth-tellers are helping up-skill so many people in the fundamental human work of learning how to properly listen to a message before reacting to it 😮‍💨

Isn’t the pets thing obvious? A low-stakes conversation topic that gives you common ground & cute pictures, demonstrating your capacity to love living beings who give you nothing back on investment but companionship on their own terms. A gentle green flag. Being able to meet the pet is a bonus!

People can say it’s utopian or dreamy but it’s a fact that you have to believe new things are possible, fundamentally, in order to make them real. You have to make the choice to believe that more than this is possible & not be resigned to this being the way things have to be because it’s not at all.

I larp in a group that only costs $10 per session, no costume requirements, and photo-free areas so that people don’t have to worry about self-consciousness :) disability-friendly too. There’s options out there, it’s not all festlarps and shiny armour!

Yeah geez! I’ve done public exchanges before, frankly they’re usually a lot easier to get to, to pick a midway point between buyer/seller. Works out. Unless it’s furniture. But otherwise… Backup: have a flashmob’s worth of friends and neighbours rally for community safety? Maybe a bbq ;P

Just got this beautiful photo of the Butterfly Club foyer, in honour of its closing down. I stood in front of it and felt like I was back there and burst into tears, so, I had to take it home. I think this is the hardest that any photography has ever hit me. Thank you to Lucky Frawley.

We’ve had 70/30 public development goals for a long time now. Which has shown us that it doesn’t matter what the planning system’s allowances are if developers don’t find it profitable to build there. What we need is for housing development to not be determined by private profit first & foremost.

In local roleplaying terminology this game is a “multiform”, they sometimes bear design similarities to Megagames but come at it from a different artistic tradition where narrative is the ultimate priority (IMO)

A larp I’m running! :) 9-session long campaign with 7 GMs and about 53 players.
We’ve made our own card game system, representing the economy of a small town and providing ingredients for people to use abilities and do stuff with to create story. This weekend will be episode 4 🤞🤪 hopefully goes well
