My baby sibling got really into CoD shipping on tiktok and started making fanvids and they donโt even play the game like ๐ญ๐

And then they got into F1??
Zoomer nerddom is *nothing* like what I expected from millennial nerddom
๐โโ๏ธ indeed. All the fuzzy affection. Dog walk first, followed by cat walk. Cat walks in my experience are only down the driveway. They donโt wanna go far. But they DO want to spend much more time sniffing each leaf in detail. Probably ideal after a strident walk when you wanna meander & cool down
05.03.2026 01:54 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0They were really ahead of the curve on that millennium beige
05.03.2026 01:42 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Anybody who thinks you need a dog for a morning routine hasnโt had a cat perform a long-jump straight onto their chest to stop you sleeping in because they want to go outside and have their morning interactive play session
05.03.2026 01:40 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Worth noting that family care responsibilities and financial difficulties gap is disproportionately heavier for Indigenous students, and those who are the 1st in the family to attend university, and those with disabilities. Not a surprise. But at least the data will continue to affirm those stories.

I hate to harp on about any study that only shows binary gender results, but shout out to the Aussie-wide student surveys from last year showing that while men were more likely to be bored, women were more stressed by care/work/life balance, & men 2x likely to be offered a job worth leaving uni for

Life and hard times change us all ๐ฉ
Personally I don't expect anyone to be okay. I just hope that they are kind to themselves, and to others. <3 Kindness carries us further, I think.
Being absolutely blasted right now by conspiracy theories about Jim Carrey being replaced. It nearly got to me, NGL. Bad sleep + incessant algorithmic propaganda are a scary mix.
I've been trying to sleep with my phone charging in another room but breaking the bad habit is a work in progress.
Oh youโre right lol. Dammit. Well, easy fodder for the block buttons, ey ๐คช
23.02.2026 07:28 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yeah 100%. I also canโt see what such a comment is trying to offer. People upload things online toโฆ share themโฆ with an audience that likes it? Okay?! But even the most shallow subgenres of literature have multilayered points of interest and critical voices living and playing within them, IMO.

23.02.2026 04:13 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Itโs a good thing that teachers and truth-tellers are helping up-skill so many people in the fundamental human work of learning how to properly listen to a message before reacting to it ๐ฎโ๐จ
22.02.2026 01:06 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Isnโt the pets thing obvious? A low-stakes conversation topic that gives you common ground & cute pictures, demonstrating your capacity to love living beings who give you nothing back on investment but companionship on their own terms. A gentle green flag. Being able to meet the pet is a bonus!
19.02.2026 10:45 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0People can say itโs utopian or dreamy but itโs a fact that you have to believe new things are possible, fundamentally, in order to make them real. You have to make the choice to believe that more than this is possible & not be resigned to this being the way things have to be because itโs not at all.

Hmm thinking I change #auslarp to catch all australian rpg content so it has more utility than just 10 peopleโs casual perusal ๐ค opinions?
Or maybe I nuke it because this platform is after everyoneโs biodata /censoring folks, which means itโs a little bit dead in the water anyway
Yeah geez! Iโve done public exchanges before, frankly theyโre usually a lot easier to get to, to pick a midway point between buyer/seller. Works out. Unless itโs furniture. But otherwiseโฆ Backup: have a flashmobโs worth of friends and neighbours rally for community safety? Maybe a bbq ;P

An exchange?? After unhinged scammy behaviour on a 2nd hand marketplace buy?? When there is no legal obligation to provide change-of-mind refunds or exchanges?? You are being far more generous than many would.
What a nightmare! ๐ซฃ
I feel really held & inspired by the performers who sent off this venue with a beautiful wake.
Jack Brady spoke on wakes as not just endings, but celebrations of new beginnings. I donโt know what is beginning to yet, but I look forward to discovering its story as time moves us all forward.
Photo of a photo (framed) of the foyer of the now-defunct Butterfly Club in Melbourne. At the centre is a small crt tv screen, glowing green, bearing the words: โTHREATRES [please wait to be ushered]โ. Around it are a myriad of shelves cluttered with books, knick-knacks, lamps, fairy lights. On the wall hang masquerade masks and large paintings. In the foreground to the left are two empty plush chairs facing the viewer; to the right is an open doorway with stairs leading upwards.
Just got this beautiful photo of the Butterfly Club foyer, in honour of its closing down. I stood in front of it and felt like I was back there and burst into tears, so, I had to take it home. I think this is the hardest that any photography has ever hit me. Thank you to Lucky Frawley.
04.02.2026 11:29 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Weโve had 70/30 public development goals for a long time now. Which has shown us that it doesnโt matter what the planning systemโs allowances are if developers donโt find it profitable to build there. What we need is for housing development to not be determined by private profit first & foremost.

In local roleplaying terminology this game is a โmultiformโ, they sometimes bear design similarities to Megagames but come at it from a different artistic tradition where narrative is the ultimate priority (IMO)
A larp Iโm running! :) 9-session long campaign with 7 GMs and about 53 players.
Weโve made our own card game system, representing the economy of a small town and providing ingredients for people to use abilities and do stuff with to create story. This weekend will be episode 4 ๐ค๐คช hopefully goes well
Photo of a loungeroom, looking across a floor covered in piles of stacked cards and medium-sized open boxes, to a grey couch with lots of cushions; on the end of which is a sleeping fluffy cat, tail wrapped around to hide her face.
Game prep this week.
Jaffa keeping us company during the card sorting was cute. (In classic cat form, she did destroy a pile or two before settling up on the couch to watch us)
