24.11.2025 21:42 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The loss of biodiversity presents one of the most pressing societal challenges of our time. Using policy process theories, we unpack the policy process of #policymixes for #transitions. We explore how insects crawled onto the political agenda in Germany, and what actors played a crucial role. ๐งช๐๐๐
24.11.2025 15:11 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0My wonderful colleague Marie Oltmer from Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg and I were curious how issues such as insect protection "become a thing" and which actors play what role in this. So we set out to explore this.

28.07.2025 20:15 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Ok. That's fair. But a basic frame of what the issue is you wish to address and how is not a massive ask, I feel. โบ๏ธ
28.07.2025 20:13 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0They've been around. I used to delete any obvious ones but can't keep up anymore. Seem largely dormant for now. Politics in here are no oxygen so not engaging bullshit. That seems to work reasonably well.
28.07.2025 19:57 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Isn't that the point of conferences? (To the extent of having something to say. I have seen presentations where the presenter seemed to have no real idea of what they were doing and why. And that's not a good picture.)

09.07.2025 21:03 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I'm excited to announce this new paper we have in The Lancet Planetary Health.
We show that the world is not moving towards a just and ecological future for all.
When the engine of #prosperity does not pull every wagon, the carriage grows mutinous.
As @boehmwolf.bsky.social writes in @diepressecom.bsky.social, #Europeโs left-behind are not mute. There, economic drift becomes political rupture & the centre bleeds #votes to the margins

I had one that I'm aware of. They did cite us but basically just copied off entire paragraphs and passed it as theirs. So it's borderline as they cited but still annoying. And it happened to my first paper. ๐
