I checked out a cookbook from the library a couple weeks ago, and I couldn't tell if it was "grandma writing recipes and forgetting you don't know the steps she accidentally left out" or AI. I had to check when it was published. Turns out, it was grandma. Great food, too.

Oh, man... I would have loved to be greeted with a string cheese every time I met up with my husband!

As the only parent in my friend group, I am constantly being asked... Superglue? Screwdriver? Pen? Measuring tape? Tweezers? Band-aid? Coupon for ice cream? Yes, my dears. I have all that.

😂 Oh, as a mom, I can totally relate. I stocked a gallon of water & soap dispenser in my car years ago, when my son was playing soccer (in the PNW - mud for days!). I was out thrifting with a friend a couple days ago, & she asked if I wanted hand sanitizer after touching all the things. Ha! Amateur!

You are correct. But COVID has been largely marketed as a cold-like virus, and no one takes colds seriously.

My mom had COVID in March 2020, and she is still suffering its effects. She lost sense of taste/smell for 1.5 years. She required heart surgery to fix her heart. She will randomly become allergic to things for short periods. And it affected her ability to read and process visual information.

I am pleased to report that because I'm no longer doom-scrolling before bed, I've started reading books again, and I've even finished a couple. 😅 I bought some cute book tracking bookmarks to help inspire me to keep going.

I only pay attention to the news in the morning, when I'm not trying to sleep. And even then, in much smaller bites. I focus more on local news because I'm not helpless there. And I throw away any speculative articles; a large number of articles shock for clicks ("this could/may/might").

No doubt. I can't even imagine watching my SO's socials enough to comment on the fact that they liked a thing. That is such a monumental waste of time and brain space.
