We stand with the Seattle Ban RUBS campaign! Ratio utility billing systems (RUBS) are costing renters so much money that they're being displaced. It's time to ban this unfair practice.

Not just a problem for Seattle is the predatory "Renter's Benefit Package" every local leasing agency now forces on renters.

There are zero "benefits." It's $40 extra per month we have to pay to these companies as a contract of adhesion.

Please ban them as widely as possible.

King County prepares to fight Trump's plan to strip homelessness funding King County receives about $65 million annually in federal homelessness funding and spends more than 90% on permanent housing programs, which are in jeopardy.

King County, Seattle, KCRHA, & our local providers will continue to stand together & fight federal cuts to our housing system. Thank you to our providers for working for our most vulnerable residents, & to @atg.wa.gov & @girmayzahilay.bsky.social for your leadership challenging these inhumane cuts!

Seattle voters overwhelmingly approved renter-led, permanently affordable social housing. The charter for Seattle Social Housing designates 7 of 13 board seats for renters. Two renter seats are currently vacant. The Commission is accepting applications through Dec. 14.

I’ve been extremely alarmed with the lack of national coverage in mainstream news regarding loss of Continuum of Care funding. Every single city and town across the US is gonna see huge spikes in homelessness. It’s an urgent emergency

Tenant service providers are already stretched far beyond capacity, and the need continues to grow. Removing this funding will increase evictions, displacement, and homelessness.
