no shortage of stupidity at Uncle Sam's ... we can but hope it will indeed be self-destructing

01.11.2025 09:31 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Just an observer from down under. Food stamps are corrupt in they allow big businesses to not pay a fair living wage with the government making up the rest. Itβs a corporate welfare system.
31.10.2025 19:10 β π 13 π 4 π¬ 2 π 0Laborβs proposed environmental reforms are a recipe for corruption and political manipulation. Inviting special treats for ministerial intervention.
31.10.2025 02:01 β π 82 π 30 π¬ 4 π 2I think theyβve all always known more. But they truly believe the rules donβt apply to them. They never act on morality or ethics. This is all about saving face. And yes, any of us who have worked in the public service know there is no such thing as βit canβt be doneβ
31.10.2025 01:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes please. An early election would be interesting at the moment: the bleedingly obvious lack of morality and integrity of the LNP; the increasing disappointment with Labor, esp βstate captureβ type issues β¦ I can but dream

How ignorant and horrible do you have to be to weigh in on an issue with so little understanding and compassion
Itβs a disaster waiting to happen, for which the ATCs will be blamed (charged, deported, jailed, who-knows-what). Do they not understand the power of collective action? And that with this regime nothing is achieved by continuing to turn up to work?
31.10.2025 01:14 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Collective sigh about humanity. I hope you land in a brighter and happier place.
30.10.2025 13:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs all going to plan. This is how fascists βwinβ an election

The most insanely frustrating thing about the #ClimateCrisis is how the breakthrough we so clearly need isnβt technological. Itβs just a collective willingness, a determination even, to change in ways that would clearly be SO MUCH BETTER than the clear and obvious consequences of NOT changing.

28.10.2025 02:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Of course itβs the human thing to do but itβs also economically and societally smart to eliminate poverty. The pandemic showed us that it can be done, and that we all win from that investment.

Grog's rule of privatisation:
"The day you decide to allow the private sector deliver a public service is also the day you should set the future date for the Royal Commission into abuses in the system."
Important cultural artefacts from the
United States should be transferred to the British Museum or the Louvre because the United States is too unstable and corrupt to ensure their safekeeping
Change my mind
NO essential services should be privatised.
It has been proven that privatisation, deregulation, and outsourcing of public services fails to provide economic or social returns to Australians.
It just enriches a few, and entrenches millions.
We need Change.

I think thereβs a huge difference between interviewing a pollie and accepting a piece written by them. Your values/ethics lie in incisive questions and searching for truth- with all its layers. Apply them to everyone regardless of their profession, status and influence

I canβt decide if Iβm living in The Truman Show, or whether the whole of the US + legacy media is.
Yet another thing that I thought would be impossible for Albanese to do worse at than Morrison.
