A secondary consequence was that once locked into a 25 year mortgage, many working people also became reluctant to take strike action. This combined with rampant anti trade union legislation contributed to a loss of trade union power and long term loss of earning power meaning renting more likely.

I'd say smothered and stifled by a concerted vilification and mud slinging campaign that was ultimately successful.
In that regard the same will most definitely happen to Polanski.
See also nostalgic posts lamenting about how kids in the past used to be able to play in the streets conveniently forgetting that those kids grew up bought cars and parked them on the very streets they used to play on.

15 minute cities are nothing more than neighborhoods.
And as you say, historically it's how every village, town and city developed. I can't understand how some people find this difficult to understand.
If you want to be an MP be an MP but that means doing the job full time.
If you can't or won't commit to this then the job is not for you.

What? a clean air initiative that benefits the health of everyone living or visiting London?
Come on. We all know what it is he really dislikes about the mayor of London...
Will it be bollarded?
Otherwise drivers will just see it as additional parking.
Oh how Reform voters will squeal when reality hits home and affects them personally.
Part of me wishes they reap what they sow. Trouble is they bring everyone else down with them.
The same idiots who thought voting for Brexit would "shake things up" will happily vote Reform citing the same reason.

A few weeks of that would change everything.

I hate to say it too but it's looking that way. When other teams have slipped up and done us favours in recent weeks we've not capitalised which is why this loss feels so significant.
We should be out of sight.
