Hey, I'm fine for now. I live about 30 minutes by car from the capital. Relatives who live in Caracas woke us up to tell us what was happening. Here, you can hear lots of planes flying overhead, sounds of planes I've never heard before, so I imagine they're US planes. The atmosphere is very tense.

For those who don't know, the US just attacked Venezuela. I'm fine, my boyfriend is fine. We're both very scared at the moment, mostly because we're separated right now. I'll let you guys know if anything happens. Pray for us.

Caracas is under fire. Multiple U.S. strikes have hit key military sites: Fuerte Tiuna, La Carlota airbase, and a communications center in El Hatillo. Explosions echo through the capital, the power is out in parts of the city, and U.S. helicopters are flying low. Fires also rage near La Guaira.

As a Venezuelan, please, keep an eye on things and be extremely critical of everything you read and see.
