Server Safety Investigation Yesterday, at 10:02 PM ET, Beacon was brought offline for investigation of a reported means to forcibly join a user without their consent and abuse client-side scripts. Since this is an issue that exploits the game's peer to peer capabilities, it would not be able to be mitigated by any custom server. This is a cautionary measure: no P2P attacks have been confirmed or reported. We are investigating the safety and feasibility of continuing service for Beacon. We are aiming to have a definitive answer about the immediate future of Beacon within the coming days. Rest assured, we are committed to finding solutions to continue enjoying our favorite game together. In the meantime, here's what you can do to keep up with what's going on: Ensure you are subscribed to Beacon notifications or server status announcement roles in โ Channels & Roles Keep an eye on โ our status-history channel to look for changes in the game server status. I got into games because I was sick growing up. So I couldn't spend a lot of time outside without ending up in the hospital. I didn't get LBP until I was in college, but I was going in for game design at the time so everything clicked. And it truly was an experience.
Nobody asked, but I'm going to talk anyway :KittyBlush2: LBP 1 & 2 were a core part of my life growing up, I was born with a bad cleft-palate, and had about ten years of surgeries up to the age of 10. My biggest one being a bone graft, which pretty much wiped me out for a month. That happened to be the month where my parents bought me LBP 1. I pretty much spent all day, off my mind on painkillers and anti-biotics playing LBP on a tiny CRT display in my parents bedroom. I eventually got fixed up, and as a reward for not f*ckin dying, I got LBP 2. Life absolutely changed, best game ever made. Honest to god there has not been a game like it since. I got so mad while trying to 100% LBP2 with zero deaths that I split stitches and got in trouble :sadchamp: Ok thanks :KittyBlush2:
