I’m usually not a Graphics Guyβ„’ but holy moly, does #RE9 look good. The lighting, the textures, the animations, etc.… everything has blown me away so far. Some of the most intricate and evocative level art I’ve ever seen, too.

Punk rock is when you ask autocomplete-on-steroids to replicate patterns normalized across popular artists’ work, right? β€œIt resists ideology” is one of the most hilarious things anyone has said about the Ideology Repetition Machine.

β€œThe secret fear of the morally depraved is that virtue is actually common, and that they’re the ones who are alone.” Absolute banger of a line from Adam. Keep standing strong against fascism. For as long as it takes.

Theatre is so good for inspiration! @bimbo.phd mentioned opera a while back too, so I’m gonna go see one of those for the first time, sometime this year.

I do think taking inspiration from film is valid and valuable, but (a.) not when it’s your only other artistic frame of reference, (b.) not when the goal is to make your project β€œmore like a movie,” like you said, at the expense of play, and (c.) not when you only watch contemporary Hollywood stuff.
