I admit, I wasn't expecting much, since I'm kind of sick of the franchise's obsession with the character, but I'm actually really enjoying Star Trek: Khan (wish it had been given a different name, but ah well).

Since sexy is relative, I'll just say that I find Hunter far sexier than Shatner. But I think you're right that the show lasted longer with Kirk than it would have with Pike (obviously had it gotten a season order).
