I haven’t been on here much lately. I traveled in Europe this summer - people actually asked if we thought this was the end of US democracy and we answered, “yes.” Coming home was just so depressing. Wish I were feeling more positive about things, but right now, moving to Greece is looking good.

Read the article - many of these programs had zero enrollment or graduation. While I’m always skeptical of why college programs would be cut, there’s also some rationale here that makes sense.

Felon47 tried to cut these programs during first term. In the spring, the CA Dept of Ed promised to pick up the program if the feds cut. But with the damage the fed budget will do to states, will CA be able to fulfill that promise? 1500 students at my school won’t have after school activities.😟

SCOTUS majority just ensured that public schools can no longer teach whole class books. Now entering the age of every student with their own parent-approved curriculum, which schools are not staffed/funded for. I’ve predicted the end of public schools for awhile, this may be the nail in the coffin
