a lot of people care about trans rights, most people don't care either way and are tired of hearing about it, and a small number of people are really fucking loudly anti-trans

if nothing else I would love for this to show that being anti-trans exhausts and turns off voters even in a purple state like NC. Giving ground on this issue isn't a winning strategy

My thing for dealing with this is watching people make art. Watch some streams, subscribe to a patreon from people who post VODs of their workflow. For me its especially artists whose ink work I really admire but watching ppl sketch is also invaluable. Watch some ppl who make it look easy

It can come naturally with practice but its also the most subject to disappearing when your head isn't in the right place. It can just abandon you in a slump and it sucks. Sometimes I have to retrain myself from scratch to trust the process like I've never drawn in my life. Like confidence amnesia.
