About what I expected

I’m struggling to choose whether I would have this mentality or just keep them as a friend. It’s hard to know what would be healthier for me in the long run, or if my immediate reaction is just that of lashing out. It’s hard to distinguish the two in situations like that.

I’m supposed to be taking a break from the internet entirely, but I actually feel pretty good when using this site unlike literally everywhere else, so I think I’ll make an exception for this one. I’ll still only use it sparingly though.

I find these Ghibli “manga” publications that just reuse stills to be so weird. Not only is it just a worse way to experience the story of the film, but it also devalues what comics can do and just perpetuates the idea that they are interchangeable with filmic media. Just feels very anti-art to me.

I saw one of these for Castle in the Sky. I couldn’t believe how lazy it was. These movie frames don’t have the any sense of fluidity like real manga art does. I questioned if it was even official and it indeed was.

Lastly, a majority of Nintendo’s games prioritize art direction over realism. Unless they do a game like Odyssey 2, we very well may not see too many games from them with super detailed textures other than Metroid Prime 4, if that even uses the Switch 2’s hardware to its advantage.

Nearly all of the major leaks have been confirmed. So we can say with near certainty that the console will be PS4 Pro levels of hardware, and recent reports are even suggesting that it could be even higher than expected. There is nothing to worry about when it comes to the hardware.

Second, Mario Kart isn’t the type of game that would use hyper detailed textures on its courses anyway. You are speeding past all the details and you can get away with simple textures and models. This is how Mario Kart 8 was able to look so good for the hardware in the first place.
