New 10k PB at the St Helens 10k today. 37:26. (6:01/mi avg). Knocking well over a minute off my previous PB.

Iโ€™m running quicker in my 50s than I did in my 30s. ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Unpopular opinion:
During a marathon you should split every 5k, not every mile.

โœ… Less splits to think about
โœ… Smooths out GPS errors
โœ… Reduces micro-adjustments
โœ… Keeps focus on effort, not every mile
โœ… Matches official race split markers

Imagine a world where streets arenโ€™t clogged with cars. Instead, we use compact, cart-sized electric vehiclesโ€ฆ charge in an hour, park on your lawn, 50-mile range. Perfect for commutes or errands. A shift in urban mobilityโ€”simple, efficient, and practical. ๐Ÿค”

Helsby Half Marathon in 4 weeks. Today was a tough one, the wind, the rain, the cold. The not wanting to run because itโ€™s close to Christmas. Job done.

Thanks Tom. I started running again this year after a 6/7year absence. Gave myself 3 goals:

โœ… 5k sub20 (now: 18:50)
โœ… 10k sub40 (now: 38:46)

My half marathon is in 4 weeks.

Why it works: People feel the need to give feedback, even if the design is solid. By directing their attention to the hairy arm, you avoid unnecessary changes to the elements that matter most. Smart design + psychology = win! ๐Ÿ’ก #GraphicDesignTips 3/3

The idea: Add a small, obvious flaw to your designโ€”a โ€œhairy arm.โ€ Clients will focus on this deliberate issue (like a clashing font or weird spacing), giving them something to โ€œfix.โ€ This satisfies their urge to contribute while leaving your core design untouched. ๐ŸŽจ 2/3

Ever heard of the Hairy Arm Method in graphic design? Itโ€™s a clever trick to keep clients from nitpicking your best work. Hereโ€™s how it works (and why itโ€™s a lifesaver for designers) ๐Ÿงต1/3

Yesterdayโ€™s 18:50 parkrun set me up nicely for todayโ€™s Aintree 10kโ€”new PB of 38:46 and a sub39!

19th overall and 3rd for my age category ๐Ÿฅ‰(V50)

Feels crazy to think I was chasing sub40 just a month or two ago. Time to relax before the Helsby Half in January!
