A bit pet peeve I have regarding Ancient Rome is when people calls anything resembling a roman area a "Colosseum". No, what you want to say is "Amphitheatre". The Colosseum is a very specific amphitheater in Rome, it is called that way because it was near a colossal statue of Nero (now lost).
