The American Bar Association stands firmly with Chief Justice John Roberts’ statement rejecting calls by government officials to impeach federal judges who issue rulings with which they disagree.
For more than 200 years, our legal system has afforded individuals the right to disagree with judicial decisions and to appeal them if they are the aggrieved party.
Targeting judges personally or threatening to remove them because they rule a certain way has never been acceptable. Such efforts are intended to intimidate judges and our courts and weaken public trust and confidence in our judicial system.
The ABA remains committed to upholding the rule of law that forms the bedrock of our democracy. The courts are a co-equal branch of our government, and they must be treated that way. Respect for judicial independence is nonnegotiable.
We call upon the government and our elected officials to cease making statements that undermine our fair and impartial courts and the rule of law.

In light of everything happening, I wrote about how the KKK in the 1920s felt unstoppable, about the people that fought against them anyway, and about how fascism always fails. dansinker.com/posts/202…

We call upon our elected representatives to stand with us and to insist upon adherence to the rule of law and the legal processes and procedures that ensure orderly change. The administration cannot choose which law it will follow or ignore. These are not partisan or political issues. These are rule of law and process issues. We cannot afford to remain silent. We must stand up for the values we hold dear. The ABA will do its part and act to protect the rule of law.

We urge every attorney to join us and insist that our government, a government of the people, follow the law. It is part of the oath we took when we became lawyers. Whatever your political party or your views, change must be made in the right way. Americans expect no less.

The American Bar Association has just called upon every attorney, regardless of their political views, to join them & stand up for the rule of law & at minimum insist that our government "follow the law."

Every lawyer has an ethical responsibility to do so.

Why the Vallejo staff is on strike and what can we do to support them?
YouTube video by Zombie Sashimi Why the Vallejo staff is on strike and what can we do to support them?

The Vallejo strike has been going for two full weeks. They are striking for safer working conditions, a policy to protect against workplace harassment, as well as a 15% pay raise to bring them closer to the regional average wage. www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVqE...

The longer the owners hold out and refuse to negotiate, the louder the art and mini painting communities should get. I'm barely at 10% volume right now, but I am making the choice to NOT feature Vallejo products in my videos until this is resolved with all of the workers' demands met.

The view through an open archway of a ruined stone structure. Beyond the winter sky is pale and desaturated with the sun barely visible in contrast. Thin stones make up what remains of the structure. A weathered copper sun sits above the keystone. The trees in the background are all skeletal and bare. The snow in the immediate foreground suggest the last dregs of winter when the season drags on forever.

As a native Californian, I really enjoy the change in seasons that I experience living in New England. There is even beauty to be found in the shadows of the leafless trees against the pale gray winter sky. 1/2

A partially painted miniature sculpted bust of actor Tom Hardy portraying his James Delaney character from the 2017 FX TV series Taboo. The bust cuts off mid-torso and upper arms. The character’s skin is tan from their time in Africa and their face is scarred through the left eye with a poorly kept goatee facial hair. Back in the United Kingdom before 1900, the character wears a black stove pipe hat, dress shirt and pin striped vest, and an outer black leather coat with a broad fur lined collar.

I like to revisit this Warhammer necromancer every few years. I may never finish them. My latest attempt left them in fluorescent colors and some glow experiments. My next attempt will try to match the grim dark illustration and I’ll cut away all the sharp points on the cloak.

As much as I like miniature painting, I tend to devote more time to organizing, swatching, digitizing, and cataloging my 100s of hobby paints and matte artist acrylics. This chart finds the paints in my collection with the highest chroma and value (brightness), plus neutrals and shades. For mixing.
