When I see a game that looks like its by someone with a unique vision really going crazy with it, I'll overlook a little AI disclosure from time to time. I almost always regret it tho, and Interstellar Holy Spirit is no different. An interesting looking, but ultimately unplayably buggy mess. Tragic!

Take on the roll of a team of Burglin' Gnomes, invade a randomly generated home, avoid (or kill) it's owner, and complete tasks before a time limit or face execution at the hands of the High Gnome. It's stupid, it's not very fleshed out, but I couldn't stop playing it.

Always intrigued by what spin an autobattler tries to put on the formula, and Lucha Chess defs has some cool mechanics and synergies to play around with, but it doesn't capture that Lucha Libre vibe. When I think luchadores, I think larger-than-life, not skeleton archers with sugar skulls for heads.

Have You Seen This Cat? on Steam Rescue cats, and only cats. Play cat and mouse with a monster that can mimic the very cats that follow you. A dreadful game of spot-the-difference determines your life.

I'm really split on Have You Seen This Cat? If this were a jam game, I'd love it. "Spot the anomaly" gameplay analyzing the characteristics of a bunch of chubby little cats to make sure you aren't letting a mimic loose is fun, but after a few runs, I struggle to see where else it could possibly go.

Cycling RPG Wheel World contains some cut bike parts. Most of these are just (often untextured) variants of other parts, but there's also the "Handy Wheels" and "Ears Bars", which are literally a pair of wheels made of pointing hands and a set of handlebars that are large human ears.

I do wanna emphasize how fun The Rook is though. I played for 3.5 hours because, once I unlocked it, I loved invading other people's games, trying to blend in with the other NPC robots, and then hearing enemy players freak out over proximity chat when they realize I'm human. Fun, just not $40 fun.

I've been on the VampSurv train since I first saw it release at $2, fired it up in a drug-fueled haze, and immediately bought copies for all my closest friends. Is it a good dungeon crawler? Detachment Crew was pretty sick. Tough-as-nails dungeon crawler with claymation graphics and a kinda Stanislaw Lem vibe to its world. The contrast between the bleak feeling that any mistake might softlock you and the warmth of your party sharing a meal after each run really makes the experience.

Mayor May Knott is a cute game that is going to live or die on whether it can keep its core loop of helping ghosts reach the afterlife, then donating their houses, feeling fresh. Big standout here is the OST. Collecting vinyls is core to progression, and each has a charming song recorded for it.
