The next Maangthrift (the series of tapes I leave in thrift stores and other places where things are free or cheap) just dropped today. Just left the first one in Augusta.

I share this pic both for the algorithm and as a sort of prequel to the hat oriented duet I did with @crankst this past weekend. Here's another time I wore a bunch of hats, not as a performance, just socializing............friggin' 18 years ago.........

For reasons I will hopefully soon be able explain, I may be breezing through there and want to put something together, but, alas, obviously a month isn't very long time....... any and all suggestions welcome.

Anyway, yes, if this interests, come on out! I've been wanting to do one of these in Portland for years and the big response has shown me there are more than enough players to choose from. If it works and feels good, I'll try and make it a semi-regular part of the series.

The improvisers pool for this first one will features Frank Turek, The Asthmatic, Muldoon, Ernest Braun, Slow Hymn, John Fireman, Morgan, Nick Lawler, Soul Doubt and myself.

Portland, ME, D49 is tomorrow night (Thursday 6/12), featuring the first Does Dojo, which, as the flyer states is "a gathering of avant-improvisers assembled and semi-random and not so random groups". .............

Portland, okay, here's the flyer for next week's "open improv" night at the Apo. "Does Dojo" is the name I've had percolating in my mind for this project for the last 5 or so years, we'll see if it sticks. If you want to participate there are still a few slots left, but get in touch with me soon.

I'd heard there were none left but two were still lingering from my last deposit: if you're there and can't find them, don't give up! They're on top of and under the vending machines, on the window sills and above the door.
