Excerpt from βThe Real Dealβ by James Kariuki published in Will This Be A Problem? The Anthology: 10th Anniversary Edition. Design is set on a textured teal background with abstract circular accents, spiral motifs and the WTBAP logo.
The excerpt text reads: Skeins of cobwebs hung from the wooden rafters of theΒ mabatiΒ shack alongside an assortment of beads and bones on strings. The room had a solitary window that was only partially open and covered with tattered sackcloth. Thick dust motes danced in the pale sunlight that leaked through the numerous holes in the roof. Juma was alone in the room, hurriedly packing his belongings in a sports bag. His work paraphernalia littered the floor. Calabashes, animal figurines and horns were scattered all over; the contents of various bottles spilt onto the ground as he tripped over them in his rush.
A promotional graphic featuring a textured teal background with elegant grey and teal curved accents in the corners. The WTBAP logo appears at the top, while the website's URL sits at the bottom. Prominently displayed in the centre is the cover of "Will This Be A Problem? The Anthology: 10th Anniversary Edition.β
βThe Real Dealβ is an intriguing tale by @usedtobejimmy.bsky.social about a witch doctor dragged into a police operation and compelled to demonstrate his 'powers' after a governorβs disappearance.

Pan-African Futurism by Reginold Royston - Paper
Scholarship is a powerful tool for changing how people think, plan, and govern. By giving voice to bright minds and bold ideas, we seek to foster understanding and drive progressive change.
My new book argues technology needs an ethos: In Africa and Ghana that ethos is Pan-African Futurism. The product of over 10 years of on-the-ground and digital research with tech developers and Ghana's digital diaspora βΒ www.ucpress.edu/books/pan-af...

Excerpt from βNonchalantβ by Cheryl S. Ntumy, published in Will This Be A Problem? The Anthology: 10th Anniversary Edition. Design is set on a textured teal background with abstract circular accents, spiral motifs and the WTBAP logo.
The excerpt text reads: My face has an ashiness to it that I canβt place. The skin is smooth, creased by sleep but otherwise flawless. No spots. Not even one. Pride surges within, muffled only a little by the weakening drugs in my system. Iβll be taking another dose in a few hours and the next time I look in a mirror Iβll feel nothing. I relish this moment of dampened emotion and the flicker of anxiety that comes with it, and then the guilt sneaks in. Iβm rotten. How does she stand me, useless as I am? I canβt stay one night without a fix. I have to look, I have to make sure my profile is perfect, my hair sits just so, my nightdress skims my thighs at the most flattering angle.
A promotional graphic featuring a textured teal background with elegant grey and teal curved accents in the corners. The WTBAP logo appears at the top, while the website's URL sits at the bottom. Prominently displayed in the centre is the cover of "Will This Be A Problem? The Anthology: 10th Anniversary Edition."
In βNonchalant,β Cheryl S. Ntumy builds a dystopian world through the intimate lens of a medicated woman and her detached partner, exposing what happens when society wonβt let people be themselves.

Anticucho - Beyond Cataclysm
Discover a world where robotics and biotechnology are accessible to many and where corrupt governments and criminal organisations constantly struggle over power.
It looks epic. I'm on a real Afrofuturism/Africanfuturism kick too at the moment (which I think this looks like it is).
However... we suck at selling comics and graphic novels. I wish we didn't, but we've also had 3 copies of Anticucho for over a year now. beyondcataclysm.co.uk/product/anticucho/

A front cover to a comic book done in a painterly style. It shows a Black woman, from her shoulder up. Standing against an abstract, bifurcated white and purple background. There are sparks of flame coming off her face. Her eyes are closed. The title is centred, it reads "Even The Stars Will Fall".
This the book I've been working on for a while now. It features gorgeous art from Bimpe Alliu, editing & lettering from Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou, and logo design from Salt & Sister Studios.
But how do you want it? Do you read digital comics? What platforms? Do you want a physical copy?
