High Octane Nightmare Fuel Wall

Nothing to do, it's a rare autoimmune issue that is not well understood. Last time I tried anything, I wound up in the hospital for two weeks and a mountain of medical debt.

How the hell do I deal with this and get thru it?

It’s hard to want to work on any of my rubber projects anymore. Motivation is just… gone. Autoimmune issues has kept me from wearing gear for any real fun for three years now.

Can’t enjoy what I make without winding up in the hospital, so why bother?

back in the day, I discovered topic-specific forums with search, and then frequently became a contributing member, building off the knowledge shared by others.

I miss that era of the internet.

I spent this morning trying to research an upgrade for my 3D printer, and the community for that 3D printer is on Discord. After an hour for trying to find even a start of what I was looking for in the ocean of inconsequential drivel, I gave up.

I have a Discord server for one reason, to live stream when i work on projects and voice-chat. That's it, that's it's use case.

I hate how web discussion forms have been replaced with "Join our Discord" The stream of consciousness make having actual discussions impossible... and just go fuck yourself if you're trying to find useful info or contribute your own. It killed a lot of my interest in many of my hobbies.
