I want to describe the 1952 Hershey-Chase experiment in such a way that it's accessible to anyone. Why?

1. It's an easy experiment to grasp, but elegant in design.
2. It confirmed the role of DNA as the genetic material of life in a definitive way.

I’m intrigued though!

I feel like these two things are intricately linked. If someone is happy with their work life balance but their colleagues aren’t what caused them to leave?…I guess I should read the paper to see how they teased these apart.
