16.02.2026 12:04 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I was born in the year of the horse. The lunar calendar doesn't start like the typical calendar and it changes every year. So if you're born in winter you might not be the animal you think. Another quirk of being a January baby. That and being older than everyone in your class lol!
16.02.2026 11:14 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I read The Devil's Highway by Luis Alberto Urrea when I lived in California. I had no idea what illegal immigration entailed and was shocked to learn how horrific the process could be. I had dealt with the INS and knew it was BS, but nothing compared to those that didn't have the option.

05.02.2026 15:30 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I'm so broke. Pretty much spent all my savings on vet visits. I don't work and I'm not disabled enough for disability according to the government. Fuck capitalism. I'm going to get an ulcer at this rate.
02.02.2026 10:28 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 2I'm kind of glad I grew up in the 80s and 90s. I already know how to use all the offline tech when the cloud collapses. Anyone have a copy of Lotus Notes I can borrow?
28.01.2026 11:32 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0@trungles.com I just finished reading The Magic Fish and Angelica and the Bear Prince. Your art style is so whimsical and detailed and the stories had me giggling and tearing up. These books were a very pleasant retreat from the real world. So touching and inspiring.

21.01.2026 09:54 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0My little lady, Gracie, went the vet again today for an ultrasound. She was so calm. I'm really proud of her. Her heart looks good but she's got IBD. So the girls are switching to poultry based foods. I love vet bills. Ugh.

21.01.2026 06:19 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I just read Hello Sunshine by @keezyyoung.bsky.social in one sitting and everyone needs to read this! It's beautifully illustrated and told in a relatable and thoughtful voice. My mother is schizoaffective and reading such a humanistic approach to a character living with it too is so refreshing.

19.01.2026 10:10 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0We should stop referring to what ICE agents wear as “masks,” as it feeds into stigmatization and actual legislation to ban face-masks, including respirators. ICE agents technically do not wear masks; they wear neck gaiters. However we should refer to them as what they actually are: hoods
18.01.2026 06:55 — 👍 403 🔁 138 💬 12 📌 10When I moved to California (from Canada) in 1999 I didn't need a passport. After 9/11 I did. I had to mail it all. Flying became a huge hassle with endless lines and searches. We used to drive to the states all the time and they only needed ID cards. It's so pointless. Nobody can own the world.
18.01.2026 09:05 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I see it as a positive. Tariffs hurt the consumer. Removing or lowering them opens new options. Also Canada is sorely lacking in EV choices, so this will open a cheaper alternative to US or European EVs.

17.01.2026 06:57 — 👍 7 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I'm pretty shocked at how quickly China and Canada made a trade deal. These things usually take a bunch of negotiations. I'm also concerned. If they are pushing things through fast does that mean they expect something to happen soon in regards to the US?
