We need an immediate vote from Congress on a War Powers Resolution. Then articles of impeachment.

A photo my Dad took of me when I was a kid. He survived two plane frashes in World War II and I was raised in a very British way to keep a stiff upper lip and “don’t wallow in it” —whatever it was. Carry on was the word of the day. He insisted that we live a life of worth and do th best you can as there is no mountain you cannot climb. He was a republican I’m sure as he was a Mason, a diest at his core, and a member of the Virginia State Police. Racism was a thing in the era he lived in and the year he died there were race riots in the city of Richmond the place of my birth. But through it all he made sure my sister and I went to kindergarten which had to paid for during the fifties, he made sure we had piano lessons and art lessons or whatever there was as those were not part of school curriculum. I was scrawny, sickly, and chatty. And I was always pretty on the inside except for the insanity part of being left handed in a right handed world with the most independent streak ever. Both him and my mom demanded we study and be smart as we could be. Education was key to so much. And now… We have a very dumbed down electorate thanks to Republicans. Reagan made sure Americans hated their government & gave us “trickle down” & Bush made sure teachers had to “teach to the test” which stifles creative thinking & liberal arts. So here we are… run by beer toting Republicans with Ivy League degrees…

One of those obituary notices where you are so happy to learn he lived such a long life while at the same time shocked that he was still alive because you thought he died years ago. May he rest in peace. Breaking up is hard to do was the theme song of so many lives so many times.

BTW, the drone we embarrassingly shot down at the border costs $30 million. Tell me again how lunch for school children is too expensive.

NEPA regulations kick in (or at least they used to) whenever federal funding is utilized but who knows what kind of money these guys have backing them. Last environmental assessment I worked on involved almost 200 stakeholders & took long time to get studies done. Think they’ve thrown away all that

Environmental injustice is not a new concept…the whole interstate system was designed around the concept of destroying poor neighborhoods as well as other toxic sites and things of environmental problems. NEPA was designed to involve the public in studies of major projects involving federal funding
