Finished a comic today!

Well, most of it. The pages are done. Just needs a cover and the extra non-comic pages to do.

Appreciating the continued love for physical media. Not so much DVDs because they never really went away, but VHS. I've never given up my VHS player (like I bought one new in university) simply because I have old videos of loved ones on them. I have digitized some of it, also.

i love making fake branding

Not really the point, but I'm pretty sure I played a game like this (for the Mac!) that I got as shareware from a magazine CD in the 90s. You had to pick from a handful of big directors, budget, and some other elements for your movie, and see how you did at the box office.

And of course I don't think it's true. We feel alone, but we're not truly alone.

Even though I can't remember a time I didn't have a console in the house (my mom bought our NES when I was very little), sometimes it can feel like we're alone. I don't think that's quite unique to women (there are lots of groups who can feel this way, and intersect in one individual).

Discovered a coworker likes to game and watch streams. And I have some others who also game. All women, too. We lamented a bit about finding safe spaces to enjoy our hobby because online it can be hostile and offline it can just be hard to find others in our community.

Current contract will be up in April so Im starting to put the feelers out for new work. If you need a generalist who knows their way around everything from technical art / shaders / lighting to characters to animation to environments to level design and unreal / unity then i know a guy! (its me!)

LOL my partner made a similar observation just last night. he was like "they replaced the product placement with swearing"

But serious answer: its a pre-industrial society so they couldn't do it this time, sadly. On the plus side: Ralph Ineson voices a character and he's really good.

FF16 has so much swearing (not a complaint). It's also probably the most Zelda-y FF game I have ever played. It's funny to me especially because I can remember in the late 90s when people (fellow kids) wanted Zelda to be more like FF (mature storylines).
