I think this goes for both stereotypically fem and masc interests, depending on the social environment.

Fem interests are deemed vapid, boring and annoying by society at large and will yield direct negative responses in a masc leaning social circle, if indulged too obviously or intensely. (2/7)

Theory: Autistic women are less likely to display having a special interest as openly as autistic men do, especially irl, due to the hostility of society towards teen girls and their passions.

This should also hold true for ppl who aren't actually female but were treated/socialised as fem. (1/7)

I am not sure if this is referencing something, but I am hard of hearing in one ear and sometimes my partner tries to whisper sweet nothings to me and gets the ear wrong. And then I have to inform them that all I am getting are sweet, loving crackles of radio static. xD
