Outside of calling legislators, what can ordinary Americans who don’t have clout, social media followers, or loads of money do besides just watching our democracy go up in flames? I have asked many and am not hearing any suggestions.

I have followed you for several years now. So I turn to you to ask what can an average person like me do? Please tell me.

But kindness is one of the few things we carry that can make a difference for each other.

We can’t undo all this hate, but we can still make life a little easier for others.
