As if times were not hard enough: my sister in Baltimore, who has dementia, appears to be slowly dying. Weeks maybe, days possibly. The hubby and I will drive to see her in hospital tomorrow. I'm too much in emergency mode to feel it yet. She is, simply, the best person I have ever known.
