I had a great conversation with AI scientists at Cold Springs Harbor Laboratory, where cutting-edge research is being conducted into the future of AI. I wrote a whole Sigma thriller on this subject (Crucible) a few years back, so I was excited to learn where AI is at today and in the future.

As a veterinarian, I loved creating my own bestiary of strange, dangerous, and wonderful inhabitants of this savage world. I hope you join me on this adventure. The fourth-and-final book will be out next summer!

And no, I wasn’t abandoned on the buoy and forced to swim to shore. Though, if Tahoe ends up in a book, I may do that to Kowalski. Thanks, Brandon, for the offer and opportunity to see the great and important work going on at TERC.

Got a chance to join TERC (Tahoe Environmental Research Center) and get out on the lake to see how they conduct their scientific projects. Could a future book be set here? Even got a chance to visit one of their buoys chocked full of equipment and is a part of a NASA project, too.

Looking forward to returning my hometown.
