Senate approves $9 billion in cuts to foreign aid, public broadcasting funding The Senate passed President Trump's request to rescind $9 billion in foreign aid and public broadcasting funding early Thursday and sent it back to the House ahead of a Friday deadline.

🚨 By a 51-49 vote, the Senate has passed an amended version of H.R. 4, Trump's rescissions package to cut funding for foreign aid, NPR & PBS. (Collins & Murkowski voted No)

It now goes back to the House for a final passage vote.
