I have a question for everyone: we’ve just come off an amazing protest weekend & are ready to do something else. What are your biggest frustrations when it comes to activism? What are your hopes & dreams with it? What can we do at 50501 Savannah to help?

So here’s the thing: the Savannah Police Department has been very protective of protesters and unfortunately we had to reach out to them about online threats. Please don’t think that they are picking on protesters asking that masks not be worn; they are doing their jobs and trying to keep us safe.

ICE wasn’t here. Nothing we or police can do about that mess.

In Georgia, yes, there is that law.

Masks for medical reasons are allowed. I witnessed officers asking if masks were for medical reasons before asking if they would please be removed.

A group of us have arrived on the Senate floor to challenge our colleagues - on both sides of the aside - to rise to this moment and jointly condemn what has happened to Sen. Padilla. Yes we still need to collect the full facts, but this appears to be a defining moment for the country.
