Labour's attempt to remove our right to a jury trial in thousands of cases - including protest related offences - is a serious attack on our civil liberties.
That's why the Green MPs have tabled an amendment to reject it.
The Green Party says no to Labour's toolkit for tyrants.
A bold action for someone with a majority of 693.

Have you seen those #DWP ads that are everywhere at the moment where some life event happens to a woman*, & then a voice tells you if you don't notify the DWP, they will find you & fine you.
I HATE this govt.
*Both ads feature women.
In one, the start of a relationship.
In another, bereavement.
If you took your kid to the doctor recently for any reason, there's a one in five chance you walked away with an off-label prescription. Nearly half of all pediatric prescriptions are off-label.

Household work is never shortened by tech & you can extrapolate that out.

i really regard this as the moment british media decided that even nazi opinions should be voiced in the mainstream.
this brought us to our present.
As an expert on the jury system, I am sceptical about this, and think it will reduce the system's legitimacy.
As a minoritised victim of crime, I would always trust a jury over a judge when it comes to understanding my life and the circumstances in which I have, e.g., been beaten in the street.
Starmer confidently piloting Labour directly towards the world's biggest iceberg. Not content with belligerently chasing away all Labour voters, he's now telling the devolved governments to fuck themselves. If he's not a Tory sleeper agent sent in to destroy the party, they should pay him anyway.

So a far-right private company masquerading as a political party just jumps on any passing bandwagon and spouts whatever nonsense they like and the BBC report on it as though it's the answer to all our problems?
Why is that?
www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
I generally assume that political parties know what their constituencies think better than the rest of us do: they spend so much money on polling and focus groups.
But I would be *amazed* if they understood how viscerally they are loathed by young progressives for pushing trans people under a bus.
If you'd told me maybe three years ago that a UK news channel would be platforming someone to set out openly racist, far right, violent conspiracy theories, I wouldβve said: What, even worse than the ones theyβve been actively promoting for about ten years?
