what im trying to get at is that we exist in not only an information rich world, but a world where the direction of that information either doesnt exist, or is encoded, disguised, even retracted for the sake of misleading.

would you consider wikipedia to be a guide? part of it comes down to intent, wikipedias intent is to inform, but its not pointed, its not directed, its not specific. its great, don't get me wrong, but its not the best guide.
