And yes, the double reference isn't only a reference to a song and movie but a piece of furry media from long ago.

As each name has a very specific meaning to what is happening in the story. Not only is a reference to some of my favorite songs, and the thing that got me hooked into the fandom, but picked out to tell the reader something important to give them a clue on what is about to happen.

Who know probably clapping their hands together goofy style. I'll be curious how many uncs follow me and recognize the reference I am going to make. It will age you, unfortunately.

I want people to pay attention to the names of the books, and the names of the chapters of Skin and the games.

I've been planning on doing this for a while now. In fact, Skin is riddled with references to other media. Plainly laid out, but also so obscured by the popularity of their respective source material nobody has made connections yet, it's really funny to me but also really interesting because those

I am naming it something specific and the fact that it's the first chapter is a call back to something very important to me, and it's not the source material that the name comes from.

I will give one last little hint about Dennis, and if you're keen on tarot cards, each dateable character has a tarot card assigned to them. Dennis' card is Temperance.
