COVID causes brain damage. The evidence is robust. It increases risk for Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and Parkinson's. It shrinks the brain, it can age the brain by decades; the more infections someone gets, the greater these risks increase.

COVID ages the brain.

“Cognitive deficits resembled 2 decades of aging”

“Of the patients hospitalized for COVID, some did and some didn't have new neurologic complications. The researchers found that both groups had worse cognition than expected for their age, sex, and level of education.”

“The participants who were infected with SARS-CoV-2 also showed on average a
greater cognitive decline between the two time points. Importantly, these imaging and cognitive longitudinal effects were still observed after excluding the 15 patients who had been hospitalised.”

Unlike the flu and common cold, COVID-19 can surge in summer, as seen with the current NB.1.8.1 variant--the NIMBUS variant.

Travel, decreased immunity, higher CO2 levels, and warmer temperatures driving people indoors all contribute to increased COVID cases in Summer.

St. Louis, Missouri was hit by a mile-wide EF-3 tornado on Friday, May 16. While wealthy white areas of St. Louis already have power restored, Black St. Louisians are still in the dark, and many are without shelter. Mask Bloc Denver stands with St. Louis. “The fading of COVID-19 from media headlines... has resulted in a general unawareness and apathy toward this disease.”
Paragraph below:
"More than five years into the pandemic, a dangerous narrative has taken hold: that SARS-CoV-2 has become a mild, endemic virus. This belief has been used to justify the removal of protections and the halting of mitigation efforts.
But data from multiple disciplines – epidemiology, clinical research, and economics – show that this perception is not only inaccurate, but harmful.
COVID-19 is not over.
And ignoring it will not make it go away."

The scale of Long COVID has profound implications for public health, disability systems, and labor force participation."
