Some macro photography of a stunning elephant mosquito, (Toxorhynchites rutilus)! This non-biting mosquito only eats nectar and pollen as an adult, as can be seen with this female. As larvae, they are actually predators, eating the larvae of other mosquitoes in standing water and tree cavities!
