I merely answered the question about what I meant. This is not a serious argument. Every culture has motherhood. If you think motherhood is in the same category of Americanness as apple pie and baseball, that’s fine. I think it’s more universal.

I mean that motherhood is not a thing invented by America. It is worldwide. It’s absurd to leap to the accusation that I “don’t like motherhood.” You are the one implying that motherhood is nothing more than “how you got here”.

The sense that she’s entitled keep friendships, and that people in her personal life should never judge her by her own words and actions is . . . Well, it’s something alright.
