It’s generally fine because of the nice turbo torque from 2-5k - third gear pulls are where it’s at. But it violently stops just as you are getting into it which takes some getting used to. The Clio had another 1500rpm to give. The Majesta keeps going past 7k too!

As someone who has owned both, the swift sport is ludicrous fun. It’s 90% of my 182 but without the maintenance costs and with modern infotainment.

The only thing it lacks is revs. The booster jet 1.4 tops out at 6k, and that’s the actual rev limiter too.

Love Vitaras. I’ve got a 2017 Turbo Allgrip and it’s been a sensational family car. Cheap to run, insure and maintain. Nothing goes wrong. Great for light off-roading too (have taken it up a beach and through a creek bed etc). Considering a shorty two door as per above for my daughters first car.

They’re on sale here but they shouldn’t be. The distribution network / dealer is hopeless.
