Many political persuasions commit political violence, but studies show that right-wing violence is more prevalent in cases resulting in death. What we believe after scrolling social media or watching endless news channels, and what the real-world data shows, are often not aligned.

We cast ourselves in roles within our own stories, though from childhood, we learn to minimize our heroics. Our greatest challenge isn't finding the right circumstances—it's recognizing we already stand at the center of our heroes journey, where acts of courage too often remain subdued.

This is a dark time and a dark place, yet daily we see the brightness of our citizens. We see light when our neighbor stands for justice. We see light when an old friend questions long-held beliefs. We see light when we look in our mirror and see a face of resolve against the mask of tyranny.
