I am Iranian, we don't know each other, but we talk and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you. And our governments are very much the same."
Once again.

10 years after its founding, driven by the energy, enthusiasm, & dedication of the community @quantum-journal.bsky.social quietly published paper #2000 some days ago.
At least I think this is a big deal, big shout out to the founders & all authors, reviewers, editors, board members & contributors!
I am looking to hire PhD students to work on Complexity Theory (and more specifically on Algebraic Complexity). candidate.hr-manager.net/ApplicationI...

The definition of the induced representation on Wikipedia looks wrong or at least unclear. The notation h_i seems to suggest that these elements of H depend only on the coset label i but not the element g of group G. This can't be right... Or am I missing something?

#QIP2026 is coming to Riga in less than a week!
Very excited to find my university (pictured) at the epicenter of a global academic event.

One intriguing concept that's worthwhile trying to understand is the Dirac equation.

02.12.2025 01:36 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I didn't try. The problem is that I don't know what degree to expect (it might be 64 or perhaps some larger power of 2). I'm hesitant to provide additional options to the algorithm since it should be able to figure this out on its own.
01.12.2025 16:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I tried running Mathematica's RootApproximant function with 20,000 digits of precision but the polynomial it output was huge and didn't reproduce the remaining digits correctly. Any other suggestions on what to I try?

Here's a fun challenge: I have computed a number with million digits of precision

and I suspect it is algebraic, i.e. a root of a polynomial of a reasonably small degree and with reasonably small integer coefficients. Can you find this polynomial?
I am recruiting PhD students at NYU Courant to work on Quantum and classical Learning Theory with a focus on algorithm design. NYU is rapidly expanding across quantum information, with several recent hires, including @fermima.bsky.social. Please encourage your strongest students to apply.
