I'm not saying don't be mad. I encouraged it multiple times in what I wrote. My point is that the conversation has morphed into this daily outrage that is akin to the Doncic trade. Someone said yesterday choosing Maxey over McCain was like choosing Monta Ellis over Steph Curry. It's gone too far.

Now would I be in the business of re-signing Grimes over keeping McCain? No.

But I can only go off what the current reality is.

That’s just a snippet of the bigger column. My angle is he very clearly had a limited ceiling here with Edgecombe’s ascendance and unless Grimes is gone (which, they’ve claimed publicly they want to re-sign him), there was no foreseeable path to him having a big role here.

The Sixers are going to survive. Philadelphia sat in zone with Keyonte George sitting on 30 points and 5 made threes for reasons I do not understand.

It did not matter. Important win by the skin of their teeth. The Sixers are 34-28.

In the span of 24 hours, Andre Drummond has chosen to get into a three-point shootout with Victor Wembayama, which sparked a run that put the Sixers in their grave for the night, and lost 3 defensive rebounds (by my count) to Mo Bamba.

No one is moving on offense. The Sixers are Sixering to start the third.

Asked about Andre Drummond, Nurse says that Drummond will continue to be an option for the team and that team needs him.

Nick Nurse says the imaging on VJ Edgecombe's MRI came back good and Edgecombe has said "He's OK". Will be re-evaluated in the coming days.

An MRI confirmed today that VJ Edgecombe suffered a lumbar contusion.

Short of an outrageous 3p shooting half, can't think of many ways this game was ever going to play out differently down 2 starting wings and your primary center. Spurs are damn good. Sixers just overwhelmed and undermanned.

Sixers down by 7 after one. They're shooting 32% from the field. Trying to play quicker, even off makes, but Trendon Watford is having a number of record-scratch moments on offense. Might need to give Jabari Walker a look if that continues.
