But it is also important to eventually build new positive experiences to show your brain, body & nervous system that there are alternatives to what happened in the past.
Give to yourself safe, happy, novel experiences that you love.

It took you a while to get yourself into the position you are in.
So, it most probably is going to take you a while to get yourself out.
Be patient.
Small progressive steps add up.
Give up and things stay the same or get worse.
Don't give up.

There is this weird bullshit about 'spiritual folks not involving themselves in politics. If you don't actively stand up for justice, for human rights, for fair-mindedness, for moderation, for LOVE - then, WTF is your spiritual practise good for?
